When I wake up and know I have time to make my card for the day, I start brainstorming immediately. Today’s idea came to me very quickly although I don’t really know how.
I pulled out leftovers from a heart-shaped doily, chipboard flowers, grass stickers, and rose-scented scratch and smell stickers as well as snow cone bazzill basics cardstock.
I cut out the grass stickers and chipboard flowers I wanted to use to make placement a bit easier. I knew the doilies were going to be like a fence and the grass would stick out behind it.
I used some double stick tape to tack down only the bottoms of the fence so I could easily tuck the grass a little bit behind it. From there, I just stuck everything down and added the butterflies to the top corner.
I hope you enjoy your blue skies as well as this one. Purchase this card as part of the Blank Floral Set.

I feel like I’ve been falling short of my commitments lately so I made this card as a big apology and fresh start.
To contribute to the seriousness of the card, I chose grey cardstock and weathered-looking blue paper.
I looked through my rub-ons and stickers to find a sad or serious font and cut out what I needed.
From there, I just applied the rub-ons and glued down the blue paper.

I have a lot planned for today so I needed to come up with a card idea quickly. I decided to grab my sticker folder but noticed a cup of coffee sticker before I even pulled out the folder. I trimmed it out of the sheet and grabbed some complementary alpha stickers.
To make the card even quicker I grabbed another of my precut white notecards and drew a line for the letters. To finish it off I stuck down my letters and coffee sticker and erased my pencil line. Quick and easy!

… another card! When I went through my die cuts and templates folder, I came across this card template I got during a class at the scrapbook convention a few years ago. I’ve never used it and thought I’d try it out. I decided to trace the outline onto a scrap piece of paper to get a better view of it.
From the examples on the packaging, I knew it would be easiest to use things from a similar set so I pulled out my earth tones scrap pack and flipped through it.
There’s a page of phrase punch outs which is where the “time for…” jumped out at me. I started punching them out and placing them on my template.
I had quite a few of the same color so I grabbed a complementary paper with a fun shape on it and cut it down to 5″ x 10″ and folded it in half. I started placing my phrases on the card and realized pretty quickly that I punched out too many.
So to free up some space I pulled out the ones from the sides and repositioned what I kept.
The last thing to do before gluing them down was to file off the little pieces where the punch was connected to the big page. It’s hard to see but they did need a quick filing to get smooth edges.
Here’s the final product all glued down and ready to send.

Good morning!
I started this morning by pulling out a bunch of supplies from a set my mother gave me a few years ago. The embellishments don’t get much use so I thought it was about time they did. I decided on a chipboard frame, ribbon, and silver flower bookplate. I grabbed a sheet of citrus bazzil basics cardstock and a complementary paisley patterned paper.
Next, I trimmed down the paisley paper to fit inside the frame and tested my layout.
Since the front design is so simple, I figured it would be nice to have a message inside. I grabbed some nice cursive alpha stickers and stuck down “You are on my Mind.”
I really like the paisley paper so I decided to finish the inside with a border.
My last step was to stick down the front.

Today I grabbed the baby stuff I started with yesterday and turned it into a postcard that may also work as a gift tag. Yesterday, I had the sticker and white glitter paper. I flipped through my purple paper folder and found the complementary purple cardstock already the perfect size. I just trimmed a piece of white cardstock into a 4×6 postcard and glued all my layers.

Today, I wanted to make another baby card but my ingredients didn’t quite mix that way. I started with a two-toned piece of pink cardstock, trimmed it, and folded it. When I realized the baby stuff I pulled out didn’t match, I grabbed my templates and die cuts folder to see what I could find. I found a key cutout and an old Victoria’s Secret heart that I thought I could use as a stencil.
I took a silver pen and traced around the key. I did the same with a red sharpie and the heart.
The next thing I wanted to do was get the intricate carvings of the heart onto the paper. I though I could use it like a stencil with paint and a sponge. The heart was too thick so I decided to just sponge apply the paint without the heart.
The inside was easy because I had just bought some nice silver alpha stickers. I drew some guide lines and stuck down the message, “the key to my heart is you.”
Here’s the final front:

Today’s card was made with a friend who is pregnant with her second baby in mind. I don’t know the baby’s gender so I thought I’d make a universal card. I decided to use another of the white notecards; pink, yellow, and blue ink; and “a new baby” and “congratulations” stamps.

Good morning, everyone! As a “thank-you” to everyone who reads and stops by, today’s card is for you. I started with the plain white notecard and a stamp set I got from a friend.
I decided to use a green ink on the border because of the leafy look of it. I don’t have a block big enough to hold it so I made do with the foam it came with. I ended up getting a little of the foam inked and subsequently stamped so I grabbed my van dyke brown and distressed the card. I stamped the border to be a vertical card, but it would have been backwards so it’s a tent fold instead. I usually stick to the same color palletes so in trying to be different today, I used a bright blue ink for the message.

Today’s card is brought to you by nice weather, being out of the house, and crayons. I decided that today would be a fun day to do some rubs while hanging out at gangplank. I brought crayons with me and just used some printer paper already there. For those of you who might not know what a rub is, it’s when you rub a crayon (or chalk) on paper over a textured surface. I rubbed desks, walls, chairs, rugs, sidewalks, cement, and outside tiles.
When I was ready to make my card, I took one last piece of printer paper and folded it into quarters so I would know which part would be the outside. I unfolded it and rubbed on an outside chair with my jungle green crayon. I rubbed vertically and horizontally to get a nice, clear picture.
